Content of the support: We help pay for the medicine Armin needs
Amount of the support: over EUR 790 per support period.
Duration of the support: October 2023 – December 2024*.
*The Children’s Foundation will normally extend support at the end of the support period on the basis of need.
Introduction
Armin (2016) has been diagnosed with a developmental delay, a speech disorder, an activity and attention disorder and a genetic disorder. Armin has no verbal speech and as a result has difficulty expressing himself and learning new skills. Armin is highly motorically active and in constant movement, but his attention span is very short and he can only stay in an activity for a short time.
Armin needs Intuniv, an activity and attention disorder medication. The boy has tried different types of ATH medication over the years, but Intuniv has proved to be the only one that really helps and has no unpleasant side effects. Thanks to the drug, the child’s persistence has improved and sleep problems have been reduced – for the first time, Armin has slept through the night without waking. As the child’s condition is much more stable on the background of the medication, continuation is indicated.
The Children’s Foundation, together with the help of good donors, will help cover Armin’s medication costs of €790 over the support period.
The Children’s Foundation supports Armin since August 2020.
