Hair Fusion Show held on 29th of aprill organizer Natalia Beloni said that with charity events about 8000 euros were collected and with what up to six children with diabetes gets a insulin pump.
Last Friday talented hair stylists from Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Azerbaijan presenting their collections and a room full of people caring of beauty and those in need, gathered at the Russian Theatre to support children with diabetes. Many people known in the beauty world contributed through helping to organize activities.
The evening was guided by an actor of Russian theatre Ilja Nartov and a singer Katrin Siska, who introduced the idea of the event and namesong as follows ,, We live in beautiful Estonia, where there are so many talented and helpful people: hairdressers, make- up artists, stylists, designers. Also there are so many wonderful kids living in our country. Unfortunately not all of them are healthy- they haven´t had a happy childhood and concerned parents are seeking help for their treatment. People who create beauty, make others more beautiful, can not leave this unnoticed.
The aim is to show everyone that in beauty lies power and you can do great deeds with it. A regular hairdresser can do good for one person as well as for the whole society, „acknowledged Siska.
The benefits of the event are for buying insulin pumps
The benefits from the Hair Fusion show are for getting insulin pumps for Tartu University Hospitals Childrens Fund children with diabetes. The volunteer representing Childrens Fund at the event explained that insulin pump is a device which helps to regulate the level of blood sugar. ,,When usually these children have to inject themselves insulin five to six times a day, then with this apparatus its no longer necessary.’’
She added that although the aim to get all the children with diabetes the needed equipment, is far away , thanks to Hair Fusion show we are getting one step closer: „In Estonia there are about 700 children with diabetes, but such pumps have few. Childrens Fund has managed to support buying 42 pumps- each of them costs 1000 up to 2000 euros – and to that, that we could help all, who are in need, is a long way. ''
The event organizer Natalia Beloni confirmed today the final amount, which is around 8000 euros and it will be transferred to the Fund in the near future- mostly from the ticket sale, but also from sponsors and donatiors received a total of 7831 euros.
Beloni was happy that donations were more than expected: ,,There were so many costs related to the organizing, because we wanted everything to be magnificent, but the sponsors were very good and helpful“ she explained. In addition the hall of the Russian Theatre was sold out.
With an amount it is possible to get less expensive insulin pumps up to six children with diabetes and with more expensive apparatus can three kids forget injecting. ,,But it would be still a real help- three children much happier and their lives will get easier,'' she said.
According to the manager similar events are expected in the future, but then the support will go to next help needers:,, Certainly it will happen every year and every year the purpose is charity, which means that all our benefits will be given to those in need, confirmed Beloni.
