Project name
Campaign for insulin pumps – we support children with diabetes
Project goal
The goal of the project is to help children with diabetes by helping to acquire insulin pumps.
The duration of the project
January 2011 to December 2011 – active campaign period targeted to insulin pumps.
January 2012 and onward – collecting donations continues, because we will continue supporting self-financing for insulin pumps to children whose families are unable to pay 50% of self-financing.
Detailed introduction
Insulin pumps are necessary, because the exact amount of insulin can be dosed and it spares children from daily injections. Currently, there are over 700 children suffering from diabetes in Estonia.
At the beginning of the campaign, only 15% of them had insulin pumps.

One pump costs 1035–2009 euros.
