Experience-consulting in Tartu University Clinic - 6814 euros
Experience counseling in the Tartu University Hospital
The goal of the project is to offer innovative experience counseling in Estonia, which has been practiced for years in the Nordic states, to mothers who have given birth to premature or special needs children and other family members, helping to improve their coping and life quality and to prevent different social issues.
January 2011 to December 2012
In cooperation with FDN Tartu University Hospital’s Children’s Fund’s different departments, the best opportunities will be created for mothers and families to receive instant counseling from mothers with similar experiences, who have had respective training. The need for such counseling service is very big and its impact on the families’ functioning has a vital importance.
Two experience counselors working 8 hours per month, paid 13 euros hourly.
In addition to experience counseling, the FDN Tartu University Hospital’s Children’s Fund is also creating a business plan for an experience counseling service. The project is funded by the Estonian-Swiss cooperation programme and the National Foundation of Civil Society. Look HERE!
